A very old dwarf Japanese White Pine. Forms a low and spreading habit of short blue-green needles. On top of this, the bark turns corky with age! Grows 18″ high by 3.5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Originated from Japan. First listed by William Valavanis in 1976.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.

Group: Dwarf
