Acer palmatum ‘Matsugae’
Japanese Maple - Pine Branch
An old variegated variety of Japanese Maple. Small, new spring growth is green to almost bluish green and is covered in irregular pink variegation which can line the margins or be speckles on the leaf depending on which leaf you look at. By summer the pink changes to a creamy-white variegation but in the fall colours return back to stunning rose-pink-orange. More open than the similar ‘Butterfly’ variety, grows 8′ high by 10′ wide in a 10 year period.
