Acer palmatum ‘Beni gaza’

Japanese Maple - Red Umbrella

Medium to large leaves which are deeply divided. These leaves emerge bright red in the spring which closely overlaps one-another like an “umbrella”. The leaves become purplish-red in the summer with green venation. In the fall, the leaves transition to scarlet-yellow. Grows 4′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
