Acer palmatum ‘Kasagiyama’
Japaneses Maple- Kasagi Mountain
A ghost like Japanese Maple with medium reticulated leaves. Brick red new leaves are highlighted with dark green veins and the potential of some green margins creating a fabulous two-tone effect. By summer, the red colour fades to a more lightish green, till the fall when it transitions to various shades of red. Open shrub, grows 8′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
