Japanese Red Pine - Cesarini's Variegated
A broad upright semi-dwarf Japanese Red Pine. Green needles have bands of either white or yellow. Grows 6′ high by 5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Discovered by Joe Cesarini of Maryland of a seedling of Pinus densiflora 'Oculus Draconis'.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Plant in a protected area out of the prevailing winds, as being exposed in winter winds can lead to desiccation.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.
