NATIVAR – A dwarf Canadian Hemlock. Very short bright green needles cling to densely crowded branchlets. An irregularly growing, upright habit. Grows 1′ high by 2.5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found in the wild near Greenwood Lake, New Jersey. Introduced by George L. Ehrle of New Jersey before 1938.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
